However, in actual production, aluminum foil will be contaminated by lubricants, environmental dust, etc., forming a very thin film, which affects the adhesion of ink. Therefore, the aluminum foil used for printing must be etched and coated before printing to eliminate the contamination of the lubricant and enhance the adhesion of the ink to the surface of the foil.

The etching coating treatment of aluminum foil paper, also called bottom surface treatment, is to use shellac coating or nitrocellulose coating to coat the surface of aluminum foil. After coating, the printed surface is no longer aluminum foil but a coating material. These coating materials have a good affinity with the ink, thereby improving the adhesion of the ink to the surface of the foil.

The balance of temperature and humidity before printing and its importance are very important. If the temperature and humidity are not balanced, static electricity will be generated, making it difficult to transport the paper. In actual production, the original aluminum foil package should be placed in the workshop for at least 16 hours, the cut white material should be opened, and printed after 8-12 hours. In addition, in addition to using paper racks for drying, printed matter should also be covered with plastic film during processing to prevent moisture or reduce expansion and deformation.
